Sunset Happy Hours, Live Music and Fresh Snow

March 22nd and 29th: Sunset Happy Hour

From 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the top of the gondola. Gondola loading starts at 5:00 p.m. as you head up to Thunderhead while taking in the view. Enjoy drink specials, appetizers, and live music while you wait for the sunset. Afterwards, enjoy the stars and lights of downtown as you make your descent back to the base area. $15 includes the gondola ride and $5 toward food or beverage. Season pass holders ride for free. Tickets can be purchased at the gondola entrance as you board. Space is limited and regularly fills up early, so please plan accordingly.

March 24th: Snowboard Race

At 8:00 a.m. at the Steamboat Ski Area. Come watch Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club athletes as they compete in the annual snowboard Slash and Burn Banked Slalom race, as snowboarders race down the hill, pushing to finish in the fastest time.

March 24th: Free Concert at the Base of Steamboat Ski Area

From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. with The Suffers. They are Houston's award-winning eight-piece ensemble that has redefined the sound of Gulf Coast soul. The past two years have brought the band to new heights, playing more than 300 shows across the world and live TV performances on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The band is putting the final touches on a full-length release in 2018.

March 24th: One Act Plays

From 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Chief Theater. The Chief Players are proud to present their 10th production, An Evening of One Acts. Join for an eclectic mix of one act plays (warning: some adult language and content). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are available online at this link.

March 24th: Casino Night Fundraiser

From 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Steamboat Grand Hotel. This annual fundraiser provides an evening of fun Vegas-style games including blackjack, roulette, craps, and Texas hold 'em in a friendly, no-pressure atmosphere. The winners in these games are the many families affected by the community programs provided by the Family Development Center, including the Newborn Network for parents just beginning their journey in parenthood, the Discovery Learning Center to prepare our young ones for school, and the Child Care Network for families seeking licensed child care in the Yampa Valley.
