2 Days Until Steamboat Opens for the 2018/19 Season!
Steamboat Opening Day 2018/19 Season
The countdown is on. Two more days until Steamboat's Opening Day on Wednesday, November 21st. Steamboat is starting a new tradition by opening a day earlier than the normal Thanksgiving Day opener.

Snow Conditions
More early season snow has fallen on Steamboat this year than in the past 10 years. The mountain is completely blanketed in snow, and crews have been able to blow snow to help form a nice base. With late October and early November snowstorms, Steamboat is looking great for early season.
Expected Terrain
The lifts and terrain that will be open have not yet been officially announced. The expected opening runs are Buddy's Run off of the Storm Peak lift, which is almost the top of the mountain, filtering down to Rainbow and eventually to Rudy's Run. Rudy's will connect to the Heavenly Daze area, and then bottom terrain to the gondola and Christie chair. If this is correct, you'll be able to ski top to bottom on Opening Day.
